Notes: ^^ Marcus is the first to complete the UK Circumnav since 2005 and equals the previous fastest time set by Phil, Barry & Harry. Very impressive.

* It's a good few years since the UK circumnav was completed successfully and then we have 2 in the same year! On his way around James had to contend with bad weather (no surprise), injury and even had his kayak stolen whilst in North Wales! Despite all this he completed the distance and raised over £10,000 for charity on the way - nice one.

** Sean's trip may have taken a little longer but it did incorporate both the UK and Irish coastlines.

Notes: * Initially Eila set out to undertake the circumnavigation with Sonja Ewen; unfortunately Sonja became ill during the trip and so Eila completed the journey solo.
^ Eileen paddled hard to complete the first " jacuzzi tour of Ireland" !
** The time is impressive - working against poor weather most of the way and with some incredible daily distances it is a considerable achievement from Harry and Jeff.
^^ Quote from Mick O'Meara: "I’m sure this time is well beatable but it depends on how hard you want to push and how long you want to stay on the water each day. One regret I have is that I didn’t take longer to go round and explore the coast a little more. When you’re setting fast times you only tend to see headland after headland etc..." These are impressive times for such an extensive journey, and of course the weather gods can play a significant part in this. As Mick hints at, it is often difficult to set the balance between mileage and exploring.
