{"id":6264,"date":"2022-05-22T23:14:40","date_gmt":"2022-05-22T22:14:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.performanceseakayak.co.uk\/Archive\/?p=6264"},"modified":"2022-05-22T23:15:55","modified_gmt":"2022-05-22T22:15:55","slug":"bridge-farts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.performanceseakayak.co.uk\/Archive\/bridge-farts\/","title":{"rendered":"Bridge Farts."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back on the canal today, for one of the sessions I enjoy &#8211; Bridge Fa(h)rts.<\/p>\n<p>This stretch of the Lancaster Canal lends itself nicely to this session &#8211; basically paddle a mixed intervals session, using the gaps between the bridges to dictate the work\/rest periods.<\/p>\n<p>So the format here:<br \/>\nPaddle out for an extended 30&#8242; warm-up, lifting it slightly after 10&#8242; to a fast cruise pace working on technique to the 30&#8242;.<\/p>\n<p>Then turn (just after a bridge of course) and the work starts for the way back.<\/p>\n<p>Alternate hard \/ easy efforts from bridge to bridge.
