Just across the bay from Oban harbour lies the isle of Kerrera. At 10 nm / 19 km it's a short circumnav, but a longish time trial.
While the east shore is sheltered in the Sound of Kerrera, the remote west coast is open to the conditions in the Firth of Lorn, but there you are rewarded by spectacular views of Mull and beyond.
