At over 600 nm the circumnavigation of Scotland covers a good distance. Routeing via the Union or Forth and Clyde canals links the east and west coastlines together via Edinburgh and Glasgow. The west coast of Scotland brings world famous scenery to the paddler, the north coast holds the infamous Cape Wrath and Pentland Firth, while the east coast scenery should not be underestimated, as neither should the potential for intimidating swell along this coastline.

Jonny Hawkins (25-Jul-12?)
Crinan Canal.Though the elapsed time shows 62 days for Jonny, he did take time out to graduate from St Andrew's University, along with a visit to the Alps during his trip! Though Jonny completed the full distance he did have company for some legs - you can find details of the Team on the website. Route via Crinan Canal.
